R.I.P. Sir Arthur Charles Clarke 16 December 1917 – 19 March 2008

Arthur C. Clarke invented the geostationary satellite, hence the designation of the circular orbit over the equator as the “Clarke Orbit”.  His science fiction has received many awards, including the Hugo and Nebula.

    i saw this earlier today and it has not been on any of the news that i have seen on tv….i post on gretawire also so i asked in that blog while she was on the air and greta (greta van susteran on fox) said that yes, it was true…..he is a hero to me…i have always liked him so much and admired him….
