Interview for magazine story

It is with slight trepidation that I anticipate being interviewed tonight for a magazine article on vintage computer collecting. I’ve heard horror stories from friends who have been interviewed by the press and been misquoted, had statements taken out of context, etc. Since this is a human interest story, I suppose that’s not as likely to happen to me. Still, I plan to request a copy of the draft article so I can at least try to correct any technical errors or unintentional misquotes. I’m not asking for any right of refusal, and I’m pretty sure I couldn’t get that anyhow.

I don’t know what to expect the reviewer’s questions to be, but a friend suggested that I think about what I’d want to talk about. I was way ahead of him; I already had written a draft outline several days earlier, and I’ve continued to work on it since.
