I went to Costco on the weekend, and bought, among other things, a 64 oz. jug of real maple syrup. Today I was getting something out of a kitchen cabinet, and discovered that the bottom of the cabinet was covered with syrup. It appears that the jug has a hairline crack on the bottom along the seam.
Fortunately, since the syrup is so viscous, not much had escaped from the jug, and it hadn’t yet run out of the cabinet. I cleaned up most of it, though some has hardened enough that I haven’t yet been able to remove it. I need to find another container for the syrup remaining in the jug.
Update: I purchased some Rubbermaid one quart MixerMate bottles (#3091) at Safeway. Of course, I did that the suboptimal way as well; somehow I got the arithmetic wrong and purchased four of them rather than only the two I actually needed. Maybe Mission College shouldn’t award me that Associate of Arts in Mathematics degree after all.
