While a friend and his family are vacationing in China for two weeks, I’m housesitting, which is probably more of a favor to me than to him. The central air conditioning in his house works much better than my poor little portable room air conditioner on days when it gets really hot, as it has this past week.
I just did a load of laundry, and their Whirlpool Calypso washer and Whirlpool Senseon dryer are also much nicer than what I’m used to. For standard size appliances, they can handle an amazingly large capacity. I nearly had to climb into the dryer to get my last sock out.
The only aggravations have been with Fedex attempting delivery of a package the first two times on days that I was at work, and then not bothering to try to deliver it on the next day when I wasn’t feeling well and stayed home, and with someone running a gas-powered leaf blower nearby at 8 AM this morning.
