On Thursday I submitted my Application for Degree to Mission College. It’s for an Associate of Arts in Mathematics degree. This is my second attempt; after I submitted one a year ago, I ended up dropping English Composition I due to a schedule conflict. I finally completed English Composition I at De Anza College in the Fall 2007 quarter, but not in time to apply for graduation at Mission for the Fall 2007 semester.
Getting this Associate’s degree has taken more than half my lifetime. I first attended Johnson County Community College in 1982. Hopefully it won’t take another 26 years to finish my Bachelor’s degree, as I’d like to apply to graduate school before I reach retirement age.
