A friend introduced me to an astronaut, who offered me a ride in a jet he’d just purchased. I was surprised to see that it was a four-seater, and he’d invited another couple to join us.
He dazzled us with loops, barrel rolls, and other maneuvers. Then we left the US and landed in some other country. The couple got out and were talking to some other people, who then took their place for the return trip. I asked what was going on, and was basically told that I was better off not knowing. Apparently some sort of “black ops”, though it was unclear why a stranger (me) would have been invited along.
