A few thrillers

Dan and I recently saw Flightplan. Fairly good, though the amount of unused space in the “E474″ jet aircraft was unbelievable to the point of absurdity.

This weekend I saw A History of Violence. Most of Cronenberg’s films are quite bizarre (e.g., eXistenZ, Naked Lunch, Videodrome, Scanners), but I like that. AHoV is one of his least bizarre films, but nevertheless a very good thriller. Some people in the theatre audience seemed slightly disappointed in the partially ambiguous ending.
