I visited friends in Europe. I was driving my own SUV, and the street I was on kept narrowing to the point that I couldn’t continue. The drivers behind me were upset; I ended up driving onto someone’s property to let them by.
I was going to take a shower, and discovered that rather than having a faucet, the shower came on automatically when I closed the shower door. There didn’t seem to be any way to control the temperature.
I also accidentally triggered a fire suppression system which sprayed water up from the floor (rather than from sprinklers hanging from the ceiling). I couldn’t figure out how to shut it off.
There was a hail storm that destroyed my sister’s hot tub.
One of my coworkers was there, and I wanted to talk to him about a software change involving interrupts. I told him it wasn’t too urgent, but he said it would have to be done today or never, as he was leaving on a trip tomorrow.
