I don’t know whether they’d increase the premium after a windshield replacement (rather than a repair). I’d suggest talking with one of their customer service representatives; they’ve always been happy to answer my questions.

I was reading your post about that cracked windshield and how Progressive paid the repair. I have the same predicament – i was driving today and a rock just hit my car out of nowhere and put a dime sized bullseye crack on the windshield. I called Progressive and asked if they cover the repair and they said that they can file a claim to have it repaired – my question is, since you had yours done/repaired, did Progressive increased your Premium when they paid for the repair? Did your car insurance premium remain the same?? I want to have Progressive pay for it but if it will increase my monthly car insurance because of this claim, then i’d rather not let them pay for it and just get it out of my pocket… Let me know what happened..
