I have read the Qur’an as well, and obviously I realize that it does have some content that is questionable, but we must bear in mind that nowhere in the Qur’an Does it advocate violence.

And if by “advocating intolerance” you refer to the passage that states a Muslim should not befriend a Christian or a Jew, then consider the context…

Was it acceptable in 1943 to be friends with a German immigrant in America…say what you will, but the truth of the matter is that it was NOT.
