I was lying in bed trying to get to sleep when I suddenly felt a sharp jab in a sensitive spot. My wife had injected me with something. She said I should just go back to sleep, but the pain was spreading throughout my body. I was very angry and said I’d go sleep on the sofa. I had a hard time even standing up, but once I got out of bed I decided that I needed to go somewhere to think. Due to the pain I was hunched over, and could only manage a slow, shuffling walk.
I got in my car, and could barely see over the steering wheel. I drove for a while, to nowhere in particular, and got out. I decided that I wasn’t going back. I shuffled into a grocery store and had trouble pushing a shopping cart and picking up items from the shelves.
Eventually as I was walking outside, my wife and some of her girlfriends found me. They were trying to convince me to go home. My wife said that I shouldn’t be such a baby; they do this to everyone, and other men don’t raise such a fuss about it.
I was in so much pain and so low on energy that I collapsed. The women were prodding me and telling me to get up, but I couldn’t. They started making fun of me, and dragging me around, and I was completely unable to move.
